In 1979, a grieving couple, Anne and Paul Sacchetti, relocate to rural New England's hamlet of Aylesbury, hoping for a fresh start after their son Bobby's tragic death in a car crash. However, they soon discover that the house has a dark history tied to the Dagmar family, who were allegedly swindling customers by selling corpses and burying empty caskets, leading to a sinister force that demands a sacrifice every 30 years. As Anne becomes convinced that her son's spirit is still with them, she invites spiritualists May and Jacob Lewis to help unravel the mystery, only to find themselves facing an eerie and deadly presence.
