Goodnight Mommy

Twin brothers Elias and Lukas return home to live with their estranged mother, a former actress, after their parents' divorce. Upon arrival, they're disturbed to find her entire head covered in surgical bandages. The mother enforces strict house rules, including not entering her room or the barn, where the boys discover old toys and are forbidden to go. As they settle in, the brothers become unsettled by their mother's behavior, drinking heavily, having a short temper, and refusing to reconnect with them. When Elias overhears his mother talking on the phone, he begins to question whether the woman living with him is actually their real mother.
