"What We Leave Behind" is a poignant documentary film that follows 89-year-old Julián Moreno (voiced by Iliana Sosa) as he builds a house in rural Mexico to bridge the distance between him and his loved ones. With voiceovers from the director punctuating the narrative, the film weaves together imagery of the local landscape with stories of Julián's past experiences living between the US and Mexico.
