Catherine Called Birdy

In medieval England, 14-year-old Birdy, played by Bella Ramsey, must navigate life and avoid her arranged marriages while learning to cope with her first period from her nursemaid Morwenna (Lesley Sharp). As she tries to preserve her freedom, Birdy befriends a peasant boy named Perkin, becomes infatuated with her uncle George (Joe Alwyn), and chases off potential suitors through unconventional means. When complications arise during her mother's labor, Birdy ultimately decides to prioritize family over romance.
