The Loneliest Boy in the World

Oliver Martin, an awkward teenager, lives alone in his house after his mother's death in 1987. After some time in a psych ward, he's granted freedom to return home and visits social worker Margot Seale, who encourages him to make friends. Oliver meets Chloe, a young girl whose family recently moved to Hubris, and she asks about her mother's death. While digging up his mother's grave, Oliver accidentally uncovers the bodies of several people killed in a plane crash, including Mitch, Susanne, Mel, and Frank, who return from the dead as undead "family members." Chaos ensues when neighbors, classmates, and social workers start to notice something strange about Oliver's newfound friends.
