In 1999, a series of horrifying home videos reveal dark secrets, echoing the final punk rock analog days of VHS, as one giant leap forward into the hellish new millennium. Five found footage segments, written and directed by Maggie Levin, Johannes Roberts, Flying Lotus, Tyler MacIntyre, and Vanessa and Joseph Winter, take viewers on a terrifying journey through the underground music scene and the darker corners of college hazing rituals. As a teenager's home video leads to a series of unexplained events, the viewer is thrust into a world of possessed band members, urban legends, and supernatural entities, all bound together by the eerie familiarity of VHS tape.
