Argentina, 1985

In 1985, Argentina is still reeling from a democratic government that lasted less than two years after its last military junta ended. The country's leader, Julio César Strassera, a determined public prosecutor, must assemble a team to investigate the atrocities committed by the military dictatorship and put them on trial for crimes against humanity. With the help of his deputy Luis Moreno Ocampo, Strassera faces intimidation and threats as he searches for witnesses willing to testify, often in the face of family loyalty and personal risk. As the trial unfolds, Strassera's team gathers evidence and presents testimonies from victims of torture, forcing the military leaders to confront their own complicity in brutal crimes that left thousands dead or missing.
