"The Round-Up" is a 1966 Hungarian drama film directed by Miklós Jancsó, which tells the story of prison camps set up in Hungary after the quelling of Lajos Kossuth's 1848 revolution. The film follows the efforts of the authorities to root out suspected partisans, including outlaw Sándor Rózsa, through various means of torture and trickery. Character János Gajdar (János Görbe) is tasked with identifying more notorious killers among the prisoners in exchange for his own life, but ultimately becomes an outcast and a target for his fellow inmates, leading to his tragic fate.
