Pretty Ugly People

Pretty Ugly People is a 2008 American black comedy-drama film about a group of old college friends who reunite in Montana's wilderness after Lucy (Missi Pyle), now thin and beautiful after gastric bypass surgery, invites them on a four-day hike to celebrate her weight loss. As they embark on the trip, various aspects of their lives are revealed, including their personal struggles with relationships, identity, and happiness. The film takes an unexpected turn when the group faces a series of challenges, leading Lucy to realize that becoming thin has not brought her friends the happiness she had hoped for.
