Bread and Tulips

Licia Maglietta stars as Rosalba Barletta, a Neapolitan-born housewife from Pescara, Italy, who finds herself stranded during a family vacation and impulsively detours to Venice. There, she meets Fernando Girasole (Bruno Ganz), an elderly man from Iceland, and begins a new life amidst the city's charming people and attractions. As Rosalba navigates her newfound freedom, she must confront her own marital crisis and ultimately choose between returning home or staying in Venice with the love of her life, Fernando.
