Accattone

Accattone follows the life of Vittorio "Accattone" Cataldi, a pimp living on the outskirts of Rome, played by Franco Citti, whose world is disrupted when his prostitute, Maddalena, is sent to prison after being falsely implicated in a crime. With his income gone, Accattone attempts to reconcile with his estranged wife and child but eventually turns to a working girl named Stella, who becomes his love interest. However, his life takes a tragic turn when he gets involved with the Mafia and meets a violent end in a traffic accident.
