The lives of a young cop, Shingo (Ryo Kase), a sanitation worker Tetsu (Joe Odagiri), and a brooding pharmacist Saki (Chiaki Kuriyama) violently intersect on a bus that's hijacked by a suicidal political flunky. Months later, they cross paths again when Shingo, now humiliated after failing to handle the initial hijacking, starts a revenge-for-hire operation with Tetsu.
