Hooligan Sparrow

The documentary film "Hooligan Sparrow" follows intrepid young filmmaker Nanfu Wang as she documents maverick activist Ye Haiyan and her band of colleagues in Hainan Province, China, protesting against the case of six elementary school girls sexually abused by their principal. Under constant government surveillance and facing harassment, interrogation, and imprisonment, Ye and other activists, including Tang Jitian and Wang Yu, demand justice for the victims.
