Bumbling private detective Chan Tam (Aaron Kwok) is enlisted by police pal Fung Chak to investigate a series of gruesome murders, but as the case unfolds, Tam must delve into the mind of the killer to uncover the truth and confront his own dark past. The victims - a middle-aged man killed at home, a dead woman found in a trash dump, and a teenage girl slain in the park - were all killed in brutal manners that initially seemed unrelated.
