Devil's Daughter

Saget (Pierre Fresnay), a man pursued by the police, usurps the identity of a wealthy American returning to his hometown. Under this new name, he deceives most of the townsfolk except for Doctor Fernand Ledoux and Isabelle (Andrée Clément), a savage woman who secretly admires him. As Saget tries to maintain his new persona, Isabelle's true feelings towards him are revealed, leading her to denounce him to the police.
