Johnny Reno

U.S. Marshal Johnny Reno, played by Dana Andrews, rides into Stone Junction on personal business, where he's ambushed and defeats two outlaws, taking their prisoner Joe Conners with him. Upon arrival in town, Reno finds hostility from the townsfolk, particularly Mayor Jess Yates and Sheriff Hodges, who demand that Reno turn Conners over to them. Reno meets Nona Williams, a girl he once loved, now running the local saloon, and as they reconnect, he begins to suspect that the mayor and his men are framing Conners for murder.
