The Hours

The Hours is a psychological period drama that weaves together three women's lives, bound by their desires for more from life and connected through Virginia Woolf's 1925 novel Mrs Dalloway. The film takes place within the span of a single day in 1941, 1951, and 2001, as Virginia Woolf, a poet struggling with depression, Laura Brown, an unhappy housewife trapped in a marriage, and Clarissa Vaughan, a lesbian preparing for an award party for her AIDS-stricken friend Richard, navigate their personal struggles and moments of recognition.
