In this endearing French traditional animation children's feature film, a group of frogs predict an imminent disaster where it will rain for forty days and forty nights, prompting a young boy and girl to save the animals in a zoo. The story begins when Ferdinand, a modern day Noah, must care for his adoptive son and granddaughter on their farm, but soon finds himself leading a small group of animals - including a tortoise, fox, lion, and others - as they try to survive a catastrophic flood that threatens to destroy the world. As tensions rise among the animals, a clever cat tries to outsmart the cunning tortoise, while Ferdinand struggles to keep his group safe and united.
