Submarino

Two brothers, Nick and his unnamed sibling, have grown up in a world of poverty, abuse, and trauma after their mother's alcoholism nearly claimed their life as children. Years later, Nick is released from prison after serving time for assault, while his brother is a single father struggling with addiction to secure a better future for himself and his six-year-old son. Their paths cross repeatedly, but it's only in the harsh reality of prison that they find each other again, bound by their shared struggle to escape the destructive lives they've been living.
