Matilda: The Musical

Alisha Weir stars as Matilda Wormwood, a neglected and mistreated young girl who develops psychokinetic abilities to deal with her injustices, opposite Emma Thompson as Agatha Trunchbull, the ruthless and cruel headmistress of Crunchem Hall School. Alisha Weir's performance in the title role reminds one of Emma Watson's "Hermione" from 2001, feisty and intelligent, as she helps Matilda bond with Miss Honey (Lashana Lynch) and discover her true potential, leading to a rebellion against Trunchbull's tyrannical rule.
