The 2001 Japanese film "Hush!" follows Naoya (Kazuya Takahashi) and Katsuhiro (Seiichi Tanabe), a gay couple, as they navigate their relationship when Asako (Reiko Kataoka), a troubled woman with psychiatric problems, asks Katsuhiro to conceive a child with her. The trio ultimately chooses companionship over traditional family structures, finding new hope in the possibility of forming a non-traditional "family".
