Parker Posey stars as Mary, a free-spirited young woman living in New York City who finds herself between jobs and facing eviction from her apartment. To repay her bail, Mary agrees to work at her aunt Judy's library, where she strikes up a romance with Mustafa, a Lebanese street vendor. As Mary navigates her new life, she must confront the consequences of her past actions and find a way to commit to her future.
