A psychologist, Tuong Minh (Quang Su), provides psychotherapy to An Nhien (Oanh Kiều), a young female writer struggling with an anxiety disorder, who becomes fixated on a character from her first novel, The Whispering. As their sessions progress, the boundaries between reality and fiction begin to blur.
