Beatriz

In a small Spanish mountain village in the 19th century, young Juan witnesses the brutal murder of several peasant thieves by a mysterious friar named Ángel, who quickly ingratiates himself into the local community. As Juan's teenage sister Beatriz begins to act strangely and suffer hallucinations, her mother, the benevolent countess Carlota, enlists the friar's help, unaware that he is hiding a dark secret. Meanwhile, a servant named Basilisa seeks to free her son from an irreversible illness by conjuring the devil, choosing Beatriz as the innocent soul to transmit the evil to. As tensions rise and tragedy strikes, Juan must confront the true nature of the friar's intentions and the supernatural forces at work in their village.
