Dunya & Desie

Dunya and Desie follow the lives of two 18-year-old best friends from Amsterdam North as they navigate arranged marriage, teenage pregnancy, and cultural differences. Dunya (Maryam Hassouni) learns she's to be married by arrangement in Morocco, while her friend Desie (Eva van de Wijdeven), who discovers she's pregnant, sets out to find the father of her child. As they embark on a journey across Morocco, their bond is put to the test by personal struggles and cultural clashes.
