Love is the Word

"Love is the Word" is a coming-of-age drama about the magic of first love and the misery of first lost in 1978. As Bart Geraedts (Bram van Schie) navigates his relationships with Moniek Verheije (Ella-June Henrard), a terminally ill teenager, and his family, he grapples with faith, identity, and the complexities of growing up. With the help of his friend Peter, Bart learns to confront the darkness in himself and those around him, ultimately discovering that true love and redemption can be found in the most unexpected places.
