Off Season

Judith (Franziska Petri), a 40-year-old woman, is surprised by her boyfriend Gregor (Godehard Giese) with a wellness holiday in Sicily, but she'd rather go to work than relax on the beach. As they're in the last months of Judith's pregnancy and facing expectations about their future family life, their relationship becomes increasingly strained. The couple's differing desires lead to a power struggle, with Judith eventually running away and discovering her own identity through various encounters in Palermo, including a connection with the city's patron saint, Rosalia.
