Strawberry & Chocolate

In 1979 Cuba, flamboyant gay artist Diego attempts to seduce idealistic young communist David, an attempt that fails miserably. Instead, David conspires to befriend Diego, monitoring the artist's subversive life for the state while they discuss politics, individuality, and personal expression in Castro's restrictive society. A genuine friendship develops between the two as they navigate the complexities of their unconventional relationship amidst a backdrop of repression and social commentary.
