In a time when racial tensions were high and sports teams were often divided by color, one Alabama school came together in a remarkable way. Based on the true story of Tandy Gerelds and Tony Nathan, "Woodlawn" tells the inspiring tale of how a gifted black athlete and his coach brought unity to their team through faith and perseverance. With the help of traveling sports chaplain Hank Erwin, the Woodlawn High School football team overcame adversity and rivalries to become a symbol of hope and redemption in the 1970s.
