The Bohemian

The film "Il Boemo" (2022) tells the story of Josef Mysliveček (Vojtěch Dyk), a Czech composer who rises to fame in 18th-century Italy as one of the most acclaimed opera composers of his time. Born into a humble family, Mysliveček becomes a favorite among wealthy patrons and royal figures, including the young Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (no appearance by this character). Despite struggling with illness, Mysliveček's career flourishes, culminating in the 1778 premiere of his opera L'Olimpiade.
