"Epidemic" is a 1987 Danish comedy-horror film that follows two screenwriters, Lars von Trier and Niels Vørsel, as they write a script about an epidemic while struggling to create something meaningful in their own lives. As the story blurs between reality and fiction, Udo Kier appears as himself, offering insight into his experiences during World War II. The film's metafictional approach explores the challenges of creativity and the blurring of lines between art and life.
