Fort Yuma

"Fort Yuma" is a 1955 American Western drama film directed by Lesley Selander, starring Peter Graves as Lt. Ben Keegan, who leads a U.S. Cavalry company on a mission to deliver supplies to Fort Yuma, only to find himself and his men vastly outnumbered by the Apaches, led by Sgt. Jonas (John Hudson), an Apache himself. As the battle rages on, Keegan's views are challenged when he is forced to confront the harsh realities of war and prejudice, particularly after the death of Francesca (Joan Taylor). The film's tone shifts as Keegan begins to see the humanity in his enemies, and the Apaches' true intentions are revealed.
