North of Vortex

A gay poet heads west from New York City in his convertible, picking up a muscular sailor and later joining forces with Jackie, a waitress at a diner, as they travel through cities and the desert. The landscape changes, they stop by a lake, where it's unclear who will be left out of a final pairing among these three individuals, bound together by desire and rejection.
