A Little White Lie

A handyman living in New York City is mistaken for a famous and famously reclusive writer and brought to a university where he is to deliver a keynote address. He is welcomed by fans and writers, but his ruse is eventually exposed when the real Shriver arrives, leading to a series of comedic events and self-discovery as he tries to navigate his identity and relationships. As the story unfolds, a romance blossoms with an English professor, leaving her questioning whether she can start anew with this imposter-turned-impulse.
