Smyrna

The 2021 Greek historical epic film "Smyrna, My Beloved" tells the story of the wealthy Greek Baltatzis family in multicultural city Smyrna during the Greco-Turkish War and its aftermath, as they face suffering and exile at the hands of the Turkish army. Characterized by Mimi Denisi as Filio Baltatzi and Leonidas Kakouris as Spyros Baltatzis, the film recounts the devastating 1922 burning of Smyrna.
