The Keeping Room

The Keeping Room is a 2014 American Western film directed by Daniel Barber and written by Julia Hart. The film stars Brit Marling as Augusta, Hailee Steinfeld as Louise, Muna Otaru as Mad, and Sam Worthington as Moses, who encounters the trio of women after they escape an attempted assault. After the pair of soldiers track Augusta down intent on exacting revenge, the trio of women are forced to take up arms to fend off their assailants, finding ways to resourcefully defend their home––and themselves––as the escalating attacks become more unpredictable and relentless.
