In the vibrant and lively world of Mexico City's 1940s and early 1950s variety theatre scene, a group of entertainers must band together to save their beloved Tivoli burlesque theater from destruction at the hands of politicians, city officials, and property developers. As they put on one final show, they use comedy and music to highlight the commercial corruption threatening their livelihoods.
