Steam: The Turkish Bath

In this poignant drama, Alessandro Gassman's character Francesco inherits a Turkish bath from his aunt in Istanbul, setting off a chain of transformations that awaken long-dormant passions within him. As he sorts out the property, he finds solace and love with Mehmet, a young man from the family who welcomes him into their home, and begins to rediscover himself amidst the steam-filled baths of the ancient hamam. Meanwhile, Marta, his wife back in Rome, is forced to confront her own desires and feelings as she becomes reacquainted with Francesco's newfound vitality.
