Pétain

The film "Pétain" (1993) tells the story of Philippe Pétain's rise to power during World War II, from his appointment in 1940 until his final meeting with Pierre Laval at Sigmaringen. The movie also explores the personal lives of a French family living in an hotel in Vichy, whose loyalties are torn between Gaullism, Communism, and Pétainism. Jacques Dufilho plays Maréchal Philippe Pétain, while Jean Yanne portrays Pierre Laval, one of the key figures in Pétain's life.
