Bette Davis stars as Mrs. Taggart, a domineering and manipulative matriarch who will stop at nothing to maintain control over her family finances and their futures. This 1968 British black comedy film, directed by Roy Ward Baker for Hammer Films and Seven Arts, brings together the dark humor of a dysfunctional family's annual anniversary celebration, where tradition is twisted into a social nightmare beyond endurance.
