A confident young Texan named Johnson travels to Shanghai to broker a manufacturing deal for his novelty product, despite lacking knowledge of Chinese culture. With the help of scam artists Magnus and Olive, Johnson navigates the city's foreign streets, discovering that success requires more than just a bright idea. Along the way, he meets a cameo appearance by Matthew McConaughey using Johnson's new product.
