The Iron Giant

In 1957, during the Cold War, a gigantic extraterrestrial robot crash-lands off the coast of Rockwell, Maine. A young boy named Hogarth discovers and befriends the Giant, discovering him to be gentle, curious and childlike. The Giant's existence attracts the attention of xenophobic federal agent Kent Mansley, who views him as a national threat. As Hogarth tries to keep the Giant safe and well-fed, he learns about friendship, sacrifice, and the power of choosing one's own identity - all set against the backdrop of a small town on the brink of chaos during a time of great uncertainty.
