Emma Rothner (Nora Tschirner) wants to cancel her subscription to "Like" magazine, but a typographical error in the e-mail address meant the e-mail went to linguist Leo Leike (Alexander Fehling). After initial diatribes, the two start to correspond with eloquent statements. Emma claims to be in a happy marriage to conductor Bernhard Rothner (Ulrich Thomsen), while Leo is in an on-off relationship with Marlene Korlinski. Their communications become increasingly intimate, and their trust and openness grow as they pass each other without realizing the other's presence. A planned meeting at Café Huber ends without a face-to-face encounter, leaving both feeling uncertain about their virtual romance.
