Trumbo

The 2015 American biographical drama film "Trumbo" tells the story of Dalton Trumbo, a gifted screenwriter whose career is halted by a witch hunt in the late 1940s when he defies the anti-communist HUAC committee and is blacklisted. Despite facing financial strain, domestic conflict, and industry suspicion, Trumbo perseveres, eventually landing high-profile projects with Kirk Douglas and Otto Preminger. The film is an honorable tribute to a brilliant writer's principled stand, even if it doesn't quite achieve the greatness of its subject's own classic screenplays.
