Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers directs this intimate portrait of her Kainai Nation community, exploring the impacts of the substance use and overdose epidemic on its members and the efforts to implement harm reduction strategies. Esther Tailfeathers and other community members share their personal stories, while first responders and medical professionals work towards reconciliation and finding new solutions. The film premiered at several festivals before winning a Canadian Screen Award for Best Feature Length Documentary. It also won the Emerging Canadian Filmmaker Award and was nominated for several others.
