The Lion of St. Mark

In 1620, pirates terrorize the Adriatic coast, and a hero emerges to defeat them. Against his arranged marriage and family expectations, Venice's patriot Manrico organizes an armed resistance movement, assuming the masked identity of The Lion of Saint Mark. With the help of his friends and allies, including a former pirate turned ally, Manrico wages a successful battle against the pirates, becoming a symbol of hope for the Venetians.
