Recep Ivedik

In present-day Turkey, unemployed Recep Ivedik finds a hotel owner's wallet and, wanting to return it as a sign of respect, embarks on a road trip. Along the way, he helps young girls, joins dance circles, and hitchhikes with eccentric rock band members before returning the wallet to its owner, Muhsin Basaran. There, he reconnects with his childhood love Sibel, but their reunion is marred by Recep's numerous mishaps, including embarrassing himself in front of hotel staff and getting into a scuba class gone wrong. As they grow closer, Recep must confront his own flaws and insecurities to win back the woman he loves.
