Allonsanfan

The film "Allonsanfan" is a 1974 Italian historical drama about an aging revolutionary named Fulvio Imbriani (Marcello Mastroianni) who becomes disillusioned after the Restoration and tries to betray his companions, who are organizing an insurrection in Southern Italy. Fulvio's past as a Jacobin who served in the French Revolutionary Wars comes back to haunt him when he is reunited with his family and joined by his lover Charlotte (Lea Massari). The story unfolds as Fulvio's growing egoism and betrayal lead to tragedy, ultimately culminating in a catastrophic failure of the insurrection.
