It's in the Woods

In the Japanese horror film "It's in the Woods" (2022), Masaki Aiba plays Junichi Tanaka, a man who returns to his hometown after being forced out by his corporate job and marrying a woman from Tokyo. When his son, Akira, suddenly reappears after years of absence, Junichi tries to enroll him in a local school amidst the boy's own reluctance to return home.
