Wer fürchtet sich vorm schwarzen Mann

The film portraits a private coal company in East Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg district in 1988/89, run by a feisty woman boss who uses humor and understanding to manage her business with seven male employees. To the outside world, they appear as tough guys, but through personal descriptions and family footage, their vulnerability is revealed. The film showcases their hard work and camaraderie, both on and off the job.
